Steady Through the Season: Meditation for Grounding, Grace & Grief Support

Tuesdays, Weekly

November 3 | November 10 | November 17 | November 24

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Facilitated by: Kate Howell, CIAYT, ERYT

Steady Through the Season is a gentle, inclusive meditation series designed to offer grounding and support during this tender time. Together, we’ll create a safe and welcoming space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with a sense of inner steadiness.

We’ll explore meditation not as a way to escape difficult emotions, but as a way to care for ourselves in the midst of them. These practices can become small acts of self-nurture, offering something to return to when grief feels overwhelming, anxiety begins to spiral, or you simply need a moment to breathe. Through practices such as body scan, visualization, mantra, mindfulness, and guided rest, you’ll have the opportunity to discover what works best for you. Along the way, we’ll take time to reflect on our experiences and build a personal toolkit of practices you can return to throughout the holiday season and beyond.

Each session will include:

  • Gentle movement to release tension and prepare the body for stillness.

  • Focused breathing (pranayama) to calm the nervous system.

  • Guided meditation and quiet reflection.

  • Themes from yogic philosophy to support, compassion, resilience, and self-care.

In this series, you’ll learn to hold space for your grief with kindness and compassion, while discovering practices that help you feel more grounded, supported, and connected to yourself. No previous meditation or yoga experience is necessary. All are welcome.
