Slow Flow & Balance is a gentle to moderately paced vinyasa (flow) yoga practice grounded in mindful breathwork and moment-to-moment exploration of sensation, moving energy into areas that feel stuck, stagnant or disconnected, in order to prepare the body for focused balance work.
Each class will focus on a particular are of the physical body and/or muscle group and will explore balance with an emphasis on foundation, appropriate engagement of core, breath, gaze, and mindset.
This class includes dynamic movement and yoga postures to appropriately access and strengthen the deep abdominals, hip flexors, pelvic floor and low back. The class builds towards a variation of Navasana, or Boat Pose, with variations and entry-points for various levels. It streamed live via Zoom on Saturday 11/11 at 10am EDT.
