Designed especially for YOU, desk-sitters and others plagued by on-going low back discomfort, this special 90 minute class integrates a variety of yogic practices and other breath and movement techniques to give your low back all the LOVE it deserves.
This class includes:
-Breathing exercises to release the deep pelvic floor muscles, allowing you to breathe to your fullest capacity.
-Somatic techniques to regulate the nervous system and cultivate a feeling of relaxation in the body.
-Guided imagery to help draw awareness to areas of discomfort (where attention goes, energy flows!).
-Mantras and intention setting to literally CHANGE your mind, paving and strengthening new neural pathways that associate the low back with feelings of ease instead of discomfort
And of course…
Yoga postures and dynamic movement to balance imbalances in low back.
This is not a one size fits all, but a process of exploration and self-assessment in order to mindfully release what is compressed, rest what is overworked, learn to engage what is chronically off-line, and finally to strengthen what is weak.
Ultimately, this class will give you the time and space to lean into those areas that feel disconnected and the tools to get the energy moving again.
This series is appropriate for most levels.
Props needed:
1 yoga blanket
2 yoga blocks (or block substitutes)
1 set of Yoga Tune Up Balls ( or 2 tennis balls) in a long sock
